Broom streams, lakes, rivers fly fishing.
What do you enjoy most about being a member of PVFF -
The camaraderie of the club members, learning about fishing at the monthly fly monthly meeting, fly tying classes, the super welcoming friendliness of the leaders.
What PVFF activities do you most enjoy or are involved in as part of your position of leadership -
I try to immerse myself in club activities as much as possible by volunteering for anything I can help with. I love the fly tying classes, and the very relevant topics/speakers at the monthly meetings. I have yet to go on a club outing but plan to.
The leadership members are very experiences and knowledgeable and I am constantly learning from them. I am enjoying fly fishing very much because there is so much aspects to the sport (matching the hatch, reading waters, fly casting, catching) and it compliments my love for the environment.
As publicist I notify the local papers of specific club events such as monthly guest speakers at our meetings and what flies will be tied at the beginner's class and roundtable. New members have told me they have read these notices in the paper. My duties could include making flyers of events and posting in public places, and helping with facebook.
